U-BOX-IT storage boxes are built of rugged high-strength corrugated steel.  There are no cloth, wood, or plastic materials used that can be easily damaged, cut, or chewed.  The floors are made of anti-slip steel tread plate.  No difficult to use and damage prone overhead doors with U-BOX-IT.  Each steel swing door has 3 heavy-duty steel hinges, two locking rods, and a weather/theft protected padlock hasp.  The entire box is painted white, inside and out, with a long lasting, baked on powder-coat paint. All boxes are 7’6” high outside and 7’0” inside.  The door openings are 5’2” wide with both doors open.  Handy load bars are located inside on both side walls to allow for the quick installation of a clothes hanger bar or to help tie off and secure loads before transporting the box.

8’ x 10’

This popular size offers nearly 80 sq. ft. of floor space capable of handling the furnishing of a typical one bedroom apartment.  It is just the right size for sitting comfortably in a small space next to your home or business.

8’ x 15’

For the slightly larger application, this box has almost 120 sq. ft. of storage space, and doors at both ends for your added flexibility and ease of access.  Furnishings for a two bedroom apartment should fit well in this unique design.

 

Loading & Handling Notes

Care should be taken not to load U-BOX-IT storage boxes beyond the design payload capacities as follows:

8’ x 10’ = 2,500 Lbs Evenly Distributed
8’ x 15’ = 2,500 Lbs Evenly Distributed

If the box is to be transported while loaded, special care should be taken to pack and secure the load to prevent shifting when the box is moved loaded.  Items should be evenly distributed across the entire floor space with the heavier, less damage prone items on the bottom.  Try not to stack your belongings any higher than can be evenly distributed throughout the interior.  Rope or loading straps should be used to keep loose items from shifting laterally.  (See “Tips For Using U-BOX-IT”)

Empty or loaded, the storage boxes should be kept securely locked at all times!
